The default is ‘Restricted’ where only people added can open with this link. That means when someone scans the QR code, they would need to seek permission to access the folder or file. If you change to ‘Anyone with the link’, then anyone with this link can access the folder or file and no permission is required. 

Mobile 

Step 1 – Tap on the Three Horizontal Dots Icon 

On the Google Drive app, select the folder or file you want to share and tap on the three horizontal dots icon on the top right. 

Step 2 – Click on the ‘Copy Link’ Button 

On the pop-up menu, tap on ‘Copy link’ to copy the URL. 

The default is ‘Restricted’ where only people added can open with this link. That means when someone scans the QR code, they would need to seek permission to access the folder or file.
